BMW automatec status tools an embarassment
It is rediculous how bad and behind the automated tools, OC and 800 number are. BMW should be ashamed. They would be better off not having tools than having these. I can understand a day behind even though in this day of automated inventory etc. I'm sure BMW knows exactly where a car is every day and on every step in the process.
My new car is at the dealer and probably has been since Saturday. OC says at the VPC and the 800 number says it is a the port awaiting a ship. It is really an indication of what BMW thinks of customer service. They know, and they are right, that no one would choose another car based upon this information but it would be so easy to get it right. Actually the whole OC site is mostly a waste rather than a real sales and information tool for BMWNA. It is basically the same for many years and most of it is a joke. The only real information that is updated and is correct is the financial stuff.
