E90 M3 exhaust on E92 335i?

Can't find much if this will fit, how it might sound...even if it's a good/bad idea.

Reason I'm asking because there is 1 for sale locally for cheap. I'm also planning on making my own diffuser and considering quad tips.

Thoughts?

If you just want the quad tip look, there are plenty of ways to just weld them on and slap a diffuser on there.

Yes, I understand that, but seeing as this exhaust is not much more than a set of quad tips, just trying to see if it is a worthwhile endeavor.

It appears the part 51717123486 is the same on the m3 and 335i so it may work. Exhaust mounts are most likely different but mounting points should be the same on the body.

I wouldn’t think it would be a good idea, as the m3 exhaust is designed for an NA car so would think it will create to much back pressure for turbo charged motor.

Just my 2 cents
