For snow tire: 18" non-RF or 17" RFT (dealer package)
I am going to pick up my 335i sp on coming Monday and dealer offer me a really good deal on 17" winter rim/tire package (style 185 on RF snow tire) which is $300 more than the cheapest 18" non-RF snow tire that I can get right now. So in general should I get a 17" RF or 18" non-RF for snow tire? BTW, I am going to put on BBS CH on summer time so I dun need to swap tire twice a year even using the oem 18" style 189 as snow rim. Just want to know what is safer? 18" less side wall or 17" hard side wall?

We live in the same city and I use my 189's on non run flat Blizzack LM25's and the car does well, no damage to the wheels even with all these pot holes. The run flats have a stiffer sidewall that doesn't do as well in the snow. I might take her out for a little fun tonight
