Open trunk automaticaly?

Just wondering. When you unlock the trunk it opens only by popping out of the lock, but it doesn't open up completely (like the 5 series). Is there a way to let it open up completely with extra springs, stronger telescopes or something?

No you are right, it isn't.

But what I would like is when you push the button it opens up so, eg. when it rains and/or you have your hands full, you can put you stuff right in. I know that is standard on the 5 series, Mercedes has it on the C-class, so I thought it would be handy on the E90. But if there are no mods or aftermarket enhancements, it'll have to do...

Trunk monkey isn't available in Europe though. Its only a US option. Apparently it is due to some new EU directive stating that it is now ilegal to carry primates in cars unless they are on official government business.
