Is BMW E92 M3 Strut Mount an Option?

On the quest to lower the front end a bit, is the M3 Front Strut Mount an Option?

I've searched and can't find any mention of using it.

I found a link on the 1series Forum but the answer was "I don't think it will fit"

Just wondering if anyone has actually tried it...

It won't fit non M strut and spring perch and spring. Here is why:
M strut has thicker shaft
M strut uses different spring perch in addition to the different mount.
M springs are different diameter
Hypothetically you can mount it but car will be slammed and strut shaft wont have any travel at all.
Google some images from m3 strut assemblies and compare to non M.
There are other easy and cheap ways to lower the the front end.

Thanks, Feuer!

Maybe use a combination Camber/Strut mount like this?

There is so much mixed feelings on the Supreme Power Lowering Perches and I only want to do this once that why I am looking for something different

The camber plates are same height. I know as I have them on my car.
The lowering perches will make contact with the strut mount. I know as I had them on my car.
Only easy and cheap way is to cut off the tab on the strut body. I provided a photo in a recent thread.
Try to find it.
