Ok, if my turbos are blown and it only smokes without the catalytic converter, how do I show that to the dealer for them to warranty it?

Give it some time to burn off the oil on the pipes. IMOP, you don't have an issue.

I hope you are right because after three days and over 200 miles of driving, the smoke keeps getting worst.

Is this normal or am I in need of some new turbos?
I have experianced this in my e92, but only on warm up at idle. I drive the car less than 600ft and no more smoke until I shut the engine down, let it cool completely and restart. I have come to the conclusion that due to cat less dp's hydrocarbons that do not exit the dp's settle there after shut down. Then when you restart as the dp's and exhaust heat up those left over HC's begin to burn hence the white smoke not blue. It smells like burning oil probably due to how the engines Are bored from the manufacture, BMW does not use a tourqe plate when boring theses engines. There for when they install the heads and torque them down it egg shapes the cylinder bore and creates windows, at least one per cylinder that oil can blow by and burn, but not enough to cause blue/grey smoke just the smell.

I would think the catalytic converter on the exhaust is filtering the smoke that is produced from the burning oil.

I had several cars with catless setup and I never had this much smoke to the point where its surrounding my car and the near by cars. It smells like burning oil.

If its not the turbo then my car has other serious issue.
i was just saying if the problem is there with the aftermarket pipes and not the oem ones then maybe its not the turbos. but i have no idea. so what people are saying here is that the new downpipes are just showing a problem that already existed? im confused.
