Smile New Car and New to the Forum

Hey guys, this past weekend I picked up a 2011 328i xDrive Sedan with 83k on it
I'm sure this has been answered, but i haven't seen anything about builds and am really curious about what everyone has done/wants to do.
I've found certain mods to do (KW V1 Suspension), Intake (unsure of brand), Beyern Spartan Matte Black rims, but i really can't find a whole lot with the NA engine on part sites (nor can i decide what to do about the exhaust), so I wanted to ask about your opinions so i could try and figure out my own build.

Cheers everyone, I look forward to responses (and again, sorry if this has been answered frequently)

answered too frequently.
power mods:
3 si

exhaust:
for cheapest sound - remove muffler
for best sound - bmw performance exhaust
for other options: anything else you want - bola, AA, magna flow, etc.
mid pipes: super sprint, custom, AA, etc.

My bad, I didn't see much recently (it may have been hidden in threads [also first time using a forum]).
I've seen Active and Super Sprint mid pipes but have only seen a cheaper Borla for full exhaust that fits the sedan.
I really appreciate the reply

there is bunch exhaust threads. Also search youtube for audio clips. Just because some posts are older, they are still relevant. The only posts that might be slightly outdated might be related to old tunes. However, the most popular tunes are BPC (gives most torque) and AA (very smooth).

3 si means - 3 stage intake from high output n52 engines (from 330, x5, x3, 530,) or from n51 engine. It gives much needed power bump.

popular headers are: Catless: AA, Supersprint, AFe (Catted), eBay headers???

potential power gains are also milvs.

I highly recommend getting either a cable and installing software or getting a code reader (Carly for BMW), which would allow you to read codes (including shadow codes).

That should get you started. Welcome to the form.

Thank you very much! I'll probably pick up the AA setup (headers, midpipe, and probably the Gen 2 muffler) but I'm not sure if I'll do that before or after I do suspension and rims (the stock rims are kind of chewed up).
I also don't know how well the previous owner maintained the vehicle (and just had a Cylinder 2 misfire this morning and replaced the coil and spark plug) so I want to replace the other 5 coils and plugs and other maintenance first.

Go with AA headers, secondary cat delete + muffler delete (cheaper and better than a brand exhaust imo plus someone dyoned their car with +9HP and TQ from secondary cat delete and muffler delete) and AA/BPC Tune.

Also get yourself a rev silicone hose (+4HP dynoed - http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1013396).

Euro or AFE stage 2 intake or just do a carbon filter delete mod to your current stock filter. Also get some non-run flats and you should be good to go!

For suspension I would also go with some koni yellows if you can get your hand on a nice used set as they are quite expensive!

So your advice is to eliminate the primary and secondary cats. Did you do this? How is the smell?

No just secondary cats. Keep the primary and there shouldn't be a smell.

Ok but fyi the AA headers you recommend have no primary cats. So he would have no cats if he followed your advice.
