:: ECS Tuning :: N54 Boost Solenoids|Bring Boost Back

The BMW N54 engine relies heavily on adequate boost pressure to make its impressive power figures. Without a properly functioning boost/vacuum system, power loss, acceleration hesitation, and decreased fuel economy are all likely consequences.

For this particular engine, a common source of boost leaks is the boost solenoid, oftentimes bleeding off pressure so badly that the car struggles to accelerate.

ECS offers genuine OEM and Pierburg Boost Solenoid/Pressure Converters for the E9X 335i, swiftly taking care of this grisly prospect.

are these the same as vanos solenoid (N54)? And any huge difference between genuine OEM vs Pierburg?

Boost solenoids and VANOS solenoids are not the same thing, HERE is a link to your 335i N54 VANOS solenoid.

Pierburg is a quality manufacture of aftermarket components. This Solenoid is going to have the exact same fitment/function as the genuine BMW unit.

Could they cause wastewater rattle if they are losing pressure? Though they hold boost and hit targets just fine.. Black Friday deals?

Lots of BF deals going on as part of our holiday sale, none on these two parts though.

Typical signs of failure are improper boost values, power loss, acceleration hesitation, and decreased fuel economy.

harkes I see you're in China, sometimes different markets use different parts. Shoot me a PM with your VIN and I'll have my guys hunt in the reference sheets for you.

Genuine VS aftermarket. We don't have an official ECS DIY but there are several great ones floating around the web (including here on this forum).

Hi,

I was changing vacuum lines in my n54 and I noticed that I don't have those gaskets on boost solenoids. They are required, they are rubber gastets or some other material? Why they are there? I saw them on OEM parts and Pierburg

Thanks for reply !
