Resetting Adaptations Something not right need advice
I have an 08 335i E93 with 124k. Long story short I have had misfire issues and during my phase to fix I've replaced injectors, coils, plugs, walnut blast, O2 sensors. Compression test was fine too. Still misfires. After O2 sensor I reset all adaptations using INPA I got some weird errors about trans, ABS, DSC stuff cleared errors and car ran great for well over an hour. No engine lights no misfire no error codes. That's the backdrop. This morning went back to drive the car again and wouldn't you know it. I had misfires on cyl 1 5 and 6. WTF. Car ran great last night now this. So I rest all adaptations again and car is running great. No rough idle no SEL no error codes What's going on? Car is totally stock.

Give er a wee bit to adjust, you just did a major surgery.
Also for weird random errors you should check out your alternator and battery. Those will make these cars' computers go nuts.

I've put several hundred miles through it now. I do keep getting P0420 and P0430 cat efficiency codes. Need to validate if I put the O2 sensors in the correct bungs. Put the car seems to be running great. |
