I've a late e90 so don't have some of the gripes people are complaining about. But lack of temp gauge is annoying. And the previous owner didn't upgrade the base audio

Just bear in mind that E46s are of that age that tin worm is starting to show (in the UK at least). Seen several with front wings peppered with rust bubbles...

not a spot of rust on my front wings,,but rear arches are quite rusty now..it doesnt relly bother me with having the e90 also...car drives great and its nearly 15 years old..

In no particular order:
Rubbish stereo unless upgraded. 4 pot diesel - not exactly going to set the tyres alight. Originally low spec - until I retrofitted the crap out of it!

Yes on mine the base audio is absolutely awful. Useless system. Ruins music.
If I could just pay someone to upgrade it I would but if it's around £600 to £1000 then other things take priority. Apart from that most things are brilliant. Supercar performance for relatively little money. The other thing that disappoints me is it made me realise we need an unrestricted autobahn. ![]()
