Yes it will be interesting to see how it holds up. The aluminium is definitely not as tough/impact resistant as plastic but I think will survive normal conditions OK.

3 months on and I've had no issues with road debris apart from the occasional leaf getting stuck in there.
Everything else is fine, the glue has held and there are no scratches. |

Too much effort and time have been put into this, your work is a masterpiece and very clean, but honestly, I'm not a fan! looks a bit ricey I don't know why!
