hvac climate control problem?
Hi all,
been a long time lurker here and found everything I needed from diy's to general things without having to create an account. there was one issue i'm having and I couldn't find any info on. i'm having trouble with my automatic hvac controls. Everything on it works, auto function works, heated buttons do what it supposed to, recirculation/vent, etc. all of it works EXCEPT the left side knob. I am unable to change temperatures using the left knob. I can change the passenger side's temperature when the all feature is if off, but turning the left knob does nothing. would that be a problem with coding or ?? |

That's quite likely to be a hardware problem with the knob itself. I would try to pickup a cheap used HVAC panel and swap it. It should not require any coding, and the parts are pretty cheap on eBay.
In the unlikely event that coding is required, shoot me a PM and I'll remote code it for free. |

I fixed the problem. I took the climate controls apart and found a small gear that connects to the left side temperature knob was loose and not aligned with the bigger gear. reseating the small gear solved the problem.
