Pss Tires Weardown

Is it just my car or does these PSS tires seem to wear down too quickly??

I bought a set of PSS tires at the same time I bought a pair of Continental Conti Sport tires and I tried them out to see which ones would last longer and surprising enough to me the Conti's outlasted the PSS's with very little wear.

Now in all fairness I should say that I know it makes a difference where the tires are located at on the vehicle (Conti's in front, PSS in the rear) and how I drive (do I do burnouts, do I drive extremely fast, do I travel long distances, do I track my car or just overall aggressive).

For the record I use my car as my daily driving back and forth 60 plus miles per day 4 days per week and I know that has a bearing on overall wear and tear on the tires but these tires just do not hold up.

Has anyone else had a lot of wear and tear on these tires within a short period of owning them? What are your driving habits like and do you daily your car? If so, how many miles on average do you put on your car?

How old are the tires?

There is your answer right there!

This was such an unfair comparison. Do a full set of Conti, then do a full set of PSS. Then do a comparison.

My rear tires always wear out so much sooner.
I had Toyo Proxes 4 (All season) that lasted about 20k miles (the rears at least, the fronts were almost done).
And my PSS lasted about 15k miles (again the rears the frotns were still at 6/32).
And I'll let you know about my new set of PS4S within the next 2 years.

A RWD car will naturally wear out the rears much faster than the front, especially one with torque like a 335i...

I have had my PSS up front for about 29,000 miles and replaced the rears at about 27,000 miles. I think I can get 40,000 miles out of the fronts.

I got a full set and they lasted 10 months, bad wear on the inside, possibly poor alignment.

I had really poor wear as well on my last set of PSS. I had the shop pull out some rear camber when I got PS4S's. I'm hoping that will help with excessive inner wear.

Typical to replace two sets of rears for every one set of fronts on RWD BMWs. The Coti Sports and PSS should provide very similar mileage.

Yeah my set of pss lasted like 30,000km. Very nice tire but wouldn't buy em again on my daily. I put the tires on when I bought the car and I did learn manual transmission on this car so they probably could have lasted longer once I learned to drive it, lol.

I have DWS06 on the car now since like October and they seem to be holding up much better. Drove the car over the coquihalla on these tires twice and they perform basically like winters. Glad I went with this tire - perfect for Vancouver Island climate anyway. Felt dumb swapping my pss to winters.

I was quite amazed too, but they wore like iron! They were ones from the BMW dealer, so maybe a slightly different spec than the normal ones?
