Diesel coming to Canada soon...

Looks like Diesels are finally coming to Canada...
Some info from bmw.com on their current I6 products (not Canada specific):

325d
Cylinders/valves 6/4
Capacity in ccm 2,993
Stroke/bore in mm 90.0/84.0
Max. output in kW (PS) at 1/min 145 (197)/4,000 = 194hp @ 4000 rpm
Max. torque in Nm at 1/min 400/1,300-3,250 = 295 lb/ft

330d
Cylinders/valves 6/4
Capacity in ccm 2,993
Stroke/bore in mm 90.0/84.0
Max. output in kW (PS) at 1/min 170 (231)/4,000 = 228hp @ 4000 rpm
Max. torque in Nm at 1/min 500/1,750-3,000 = 367 lb/ft


335d
Cylinders/valves 6/4
Capacity in ccm 2,993
Stroke/bore in mm 90.0/84.0
Max. output in kW (PS) at 1/min 210(286)/4,400 = 282hp @ 4400 rpm
Max. torque in Nm at 1/min 580/1,750-2,250 = 428 lb/ft

I just edited the original post with the converted numbers to hp and lb/ft.

I wonder which engines we'll get and how they'll be priced relative to their gas counterparts. Fuel economy must be way up there too...

I just read a couple 335d review:
review 1
review 2

Besides praising the performance of the cars. They averaged over 37 mpg!!
I never knew you can have so much fun in a car @ 37 mpg!!

It also looks like the diesels cost a little more than the gas engines in Europe.
