Avin headunit the best iDrive replacement option?

I have a 2007 e90 335i 6mt. It has iDrive, Logic 7, and CIC (I think. if I have a separate dvd slot I have CIC, right?). I'm in the process of doing a refresh of the interior, and am interested in an offering like the Avin to give it a fresher interface and better navigation functionality, etc.

I am concerned that the Avin might not have sufficient processing power and RAM to run smoothly. I had a bear of a time tracking down any specs, but it looks like it's only got 1 gb or ram. That's no bueno for any android operating system.

What are some other options that are serious contenders? I appreciate any guidance.

As far as I know it runs in parallel with the existing
system.
If you want something faster that is fully integrated
I would consider and NBT evo.
