BMW E90 Tensioner and Idler
Hi all,
My BMW E90 320D 2008 has a slight squealing sound coming from the engine. Yes it's a diesel, but you can hear the noise coming from a particular part of the engine bay. I've been advised by a local mechanic I may need to replace the fan belt tensioner and idler/pulley. BMW Peter Vardy are charging £150 for both parts, is there anywhere else to purchase these two parts from? And has anyone else experienced a similar problem? Cheers |

This is a common problem on the n5x series engines, and I would guess a similar tensioner was used on the diesel.
You can part the parts kit from a number of different vendors. This is the parts kit for the gas engine, you'll need to input your make/model/year to get the right parts. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-assemble...11287530314kt/
