18" Apex ARC-8's with Michelin PS4S'
View post on imgur.com View post on imgur.com Specs are as follows: Fronts: 18x9 ET30 with a 235/40/18 Rears: 18x9.5 ET35 with a 265/40/18 Just fit my new Apex ARC-8's wrapped in Michelin PS4S' on Saturday and have logged about 300 miles since. I managed to snag these during the group buy, and I must admit, I am rather impressed. The wheels are finished in "Hyper Black", and it looks very similar to the E39 M5 OEM "Shadow Chrome" wheel color. The wheels themselves are significantly lighter than the OEM M sport wheels, and really fit the car well with their design. The Michelin PS4S' are an absolutely amazing tire. I almost went with Super Sports again in an attempt to save $150 or so, but I am incredibly glad I didn't. The PS4S' are a better tire in every respect. Dry traction is improved slightly, but the road feel is far better. Road noise and "wandering" on the freeway is down a bit too. Wet traction feels like they almost defy physics the way the lock up in the rain. Also, they are supposed to last a few thousand more miles too, which is worth the extra $150 alone. 10/10 will buy again.

I plan to go with ST coilovers and M3 control arms next month, so I will see how the wheel/tire set up deals with that soon. I would like to keep the rear ride height about the same, as I fear going any lower will cause more rubbing.
