[Updated 3/16]curb:1 bmw:0...any1 noe wut to do? [Updated 3/16]

[Update] Hey guys i've found a used "bumper cover" for 325/330 e90. The seller is charing 82 bucks and i think this might be an inexpensive sulution, but i am not sure if an e90 325 bumper will fit my 328 and wut does he mean by bumper "cover". Any thots? Many thx!

Stupid mistake by me.. When trying to drive in a parallel parking lot i hit the curb and got a dent at the bottom of my front bumper. Parts and a screw fell off and i collected them. I wonder wut will the body shop do with the dent. Pop it out with a hammer? Can i just buy a lip and cover up the dent? I will take some pix later

oh man i dont know what to say to that. take it to a shop and see if they can somehow work some magic and remold that with bondo or somethin

if not, then you probably have to replace the whole bumper/lip

I'll bet that's too much damage, even for a good body shop. I think you're looking at a replacement.

A cheaper way may be to see if you can still add the OEM aero lip.

well... if it's 500, then go for the new bumper... but I think it will be more than that, cuz you'll have to paint still. An OEM aero lip painted will be about $500.

It would actually be close to $1,000 for the front bumper. Good paint is not exactly cheap.

You can get a lip, but the main concern is that one or more mounting points under the carriage may have been damaged. I would personally go with the ACS lip. I used to hate it, but now I think it's the best. Hartge is good as well.

That'll buff right out.

Honestly, I have to agree with everyone else that you're looking at a new bumper. I don't think there's a way to cover it up. It looks like too much damage.

He was just making a comparison. If a painted lip is $500, a painted FULL REPLACEMENT BUMPER is obviously going to be more..
