Rennart Exhaust - anyone using it

How is the fit?
Does it require cutting and remove the 2nd CAT?

after the delays i am sure the fitment will be the most perfect one possible lol

no cutting, it replaces everything from your downpipes back.

i think they will be shipped to the masses next week

They have not shipped yet, but will very soon. I ordered one myself. Here is a PM about details of the exhaust. It does remove the secondary cats and no cutting is required

Ah.. I'm wondering if many people are thinking the same as you. Maybe we should rename our exhaust to be "downpipe back exhaust" or "1st set of cat cat-back".. It just seems wordy... but basically our exhaust eliminates the secondary cats and replaces them with straight pipes or resonated pipes if you want very little drone... and then it goes all the way back to the exhaust tips.

Yes, our exhaust is a true bolt on, and you can run it up to the stock downpipes or to a set of aftermarket downpipes (we're coming out with our own soon.. but if you need it sooner I understand).

Note that the current pricing ($600 off standard price) will end in about 10 days, or whenever the first early production units arrive at the end of Feb.

If you order now, you'd actually be part of the initial 25 pc batch, which arrive on the 27th of March, and you'd get the wholesale price as well.

Let me know if you have any other questions at all.

Thanks!

/Emil

Also, is there any modification needed to attach the exhaust to the cats, or is it a true bolt on?

Thank you - Robert

recieved an email from Rennart, they claim thier system does not remove the 2nd CAT, bolt directly onto the down pipe. The second cat is build in the down pipe.

regardless of what you call the first or second, one is in the downpipe which does not get removed. the other one that is supposedly in the pipe between the downpipe and muffler... gets removed.

Its impossible. The 2ndary cats are located on the stock catback which are not bolted on, but welded in place. Check the catback systems that have 2ndary cats/resonators if you don't want problems with emissions or noise.

This is the first email form Rennart:

The cats stay intact because they are actually part of thedownpipes and they do not get replaced with our exhaust so you will not have any check engine light issues. Feel free to email with any otherquestions. Thanks.

This is thier second email:

There's no cat between the downpipe and catback exhaust. The cat is located in the downpipes. When you buy our catback exhaust, it will bolt up to the downpipes and you won't touch the cats. Please let us know if you are going to place your order! We are close to sold out for the first 25 exhausts! They will be shipping during the first weeks of April!!! thanks again. Joe

So, is it true that if you want to keep all CAT, you must cut your exhaust and no bolt on are avilable.

It seems Bastuck is very popular choice. I recently saw a video from "Fraggy" and it sounded great.

That's correct. If you want to keep all 4 cats you'd have to get one of the exhausts that require cutting the stock exhaust at some point.

However, if it's codes (CEL) you're worried about, you won't get a CEL with our exhaust, period.

I have the Bastuck exhaust with section 1 pipes and I get no cel. I am very happy so far but kinda wish I spent the extra $$$$$ for the Bastuck quad with diffuser after seeing this car. I also have AW.
