INPALOAD Problem - Missing api32.dll

Backstory:

I followed these instructions to the letter:

http://codinge90.com/getting-started/

Purchased the BMW Standard Tools from:

https://www.fiverr.com/cj83lex/give-...-code-your-bmw

Even got the most recent data files from there.

I followed every single instruction to the letter, my OBD cable is set to COM1, everything looked okay, but when I get to the step to open INPALOAD I get an error that tells me that the program is missing api32.dll

I've searched all over and I understand that I am running Windows 7 Pro 64BIT, which everyone says is the problem, but then all of a sudden a post says that "now it's working" and doesn't offer explanation on what they did to get it to work.

The place where I downloaded the files from had a 64-bit version and he says that it works for him without problems.

I've tried to run it in Windows XP mode and the same error comes up.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Any help would be appreciated.

Someone PM'd me and helped me out.

Solution to this problem was the "Path" settings in the "Advanced System Settings".

The tutorial has a typo in what you need to add to the "Path" field.

Correct addition is ";C:\ediabas\bin" [without quotes]

Thank you very much for helping me out!

Hope this thread helps someone else out!

Izero, yes it has helped me. thank you very much for giving the solution to this problem. I was exactly in your footsteps (window 7 64bits Pro), same error. I had even edited the path environment variable twice without success before finding your thread and had almost given up. First i had this for path
c:\windows\system32 ; c:\Ediabas\Bin
I believe i removed the space between the semicolon and the c and change everything to lowercase and it worked just like that. Still does not make sense but works.
