I have winter non-runflats and the same creaking noise happens when I drive over speed bumps. I wonder if its gonna go away now that the warmer weather is here?

Did your creaking go away completely?

I was thinking about getting the strut brace anyway just because it will feel more sturdy, but my creaking is all gone.

I think the creaking is related to cold weather. My xi had the same thing during winter months, but now in spring with warmer weather, going over the same bumbs yields no creaking noise...and no tires or anything were ever changed.

I have creaking too and I'm in FL so is does not have anything to do with the cold weather

Mine does that too in the morning! As it warms up it looses the sound! It's great that you guys found out its the stablizer bar bushing, but can I just tell my SA and tell them to change that?

Problem solved. I brought my 330I to the dealer and they cleaned the bushings and the squeek is gone completely. They said that salt gets in dirt gets in there and it causes the noise.
Now on another note since the warm weather hit the car wasn't squeeing as much.

Sorry to bring back an old post. so this issue did turn out to be the bushings?

I just picked up my 08 2 weeks ago and going over speedbumps have been solid and perfectly quite.. but I just came back home from driving around in the rain and the front made the creaking sound when I went over the speed bumps.

I noticed someone mentioning about cleaning them.. can you guys put up a picture where this bushing is so i can try to clean it?

i'm getting this too.

i remember on my old benz, i had the bushings replaced because they kept drying out and cracking. its just the faulty rubber. afterwards no problems fro the remainder i had it.

Well the ground is semi dry and I drove around the block and the sound has almost diminshed completely.. so i guess it is the water.. somehow.

Cold weather is not the problem, I live in Puerto Rico and I have been experiencing the same problem on my 2007 335i. I am taking it next week to the dealer. Seems to be something common in the 3 series since my E46 used to make that same sound...

I just got this fixed on my 330xi last week, but I don't have the paperwork from the dealer yet. I'll see if I can find the part numbers they used.

I have the same noise from the front as well... only happen when the weather is wet and going over speed bumps. Went back to dealer twice. They lubricated sway bars the first time, but the noise was still present. Then they changed the shocks the next time (got it back few days ago). Gonna test it later today since it's the first wet day after I got my car back.
