Forget about this myth lol, if you want deeper and a bit louder sound from your PE - remove secondary cats and weld in mid pipes

Hey friend, any news on the exhaust? - Wondering if it came with midpipes, or just the muffler

Wishing you all the best with your setup, but it sounds like it isn't quite as loud as you've imagined?

Yes, it came with the mid-pipe. Installed it Saturday morning and have put around 150 miles on it. It is quieter than expected, but I'm enjoying it. This is my experience coming from a E36 328i coupe with a much louder Magnaflow system I configured and had welded up at a shop. I would say this is a very grown up exhaust, not something a 16-25 year old might enjoy.

If I choose to want it louder in the future I may have the secondary cats removed or buy the bolt on mid pipe so things are reversible.

I would say its noticeably louder in about 5k miles, also I would let the exhaust break-in first before you consider a cat delete. Been told by many times it drones way too much, and a regret.

I just bought this from a nice guy who owns a 328i e92 coupe.... He said it should fit my e90 sedan. I would like to confirm this before cutting anything ...

Does your complete system fit e90's?

It will fit fine but your tailpipes will stick out a little further from the bumper. You may ultimately want to have them shortened. I have the same setup.

Anyone in Canada have a 328 coupe and want to chime in? Not sure why we'd only get the mufflers as opposed to mid-pipes as well.

Production for my vehicle was 10/2006 N52 engine - not sure if this helps. :/
If you live in Vancouver there is a guy in Washington who does the PE mod for your car. Saves you 700 bucks.

If your in Ontario there is a shop there That does the mood.

Search the forms for "pe mod." For more details.

They fit perfect , are half an inch longer. It does not look bad or weird at all.

I don't know why you're arguing with me. I know this to be true. (It is also easily verifiable)

That doesn't look like the coupe muffler. My coupe performance exhaust muffler has tips that are 1.5" longer than my stock sedan muffler, not .5". I measured them when they were both off the car.

It looks off, though I have so far not taken the time to chop them off and reweld.

The system is attached to the car with rubber hangers and it can "be moved " like a " swing " , I wonder if you should cut a bit closer to the cats and move the exhaust a bit further ....
