e92 Arkym style lips?
Hey everybody, I'm in the market for a front lip for my e92 LCI M-Sport, and I'm wondering if it's worth it to buy an actual Arkym lip, or a replica?
I've heard fitment can be a little spotty with the replicas, and there are a lot out there. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! |

I got a CF Rep off ebay and once I got it on, it looks pretty good. I'd say fitment is off slightly, not really noticeable.
Hardest part was getting it on and making it line up, but once the 3m tape and screws were on, it came out good. Just realized your's in an LCI, whereas mine is an 09, but just to give you an idea of the rep fitment. |

No pre drilled holes, if I recall correctly, there were a few indentations that shows where to drill. However, it's pretty easy to line up and eyeball it and then make some marks with a marker on where to drill.

I have a pre lci arkym rep from Ebay as well. Fitment was spot on, make sure you use longer bolts to replace the stock ones and I also had to tap 2-4 screws with washers in the front to get it secure. Bolts in stock location and 3m vhb wasn't enough.

Appreciate this insight too. Just ordered a poly Arkym rep from SpeedElement. Looking to install this week or weekend.
Corners use stock location, but middle needs to be drilled? |

Can anyone locate a composite one for LCI.
I may go that route and just put a wrap on it.

Installed mine today. Fitment is pretty damn good. I have a slight gap in one section next to air dam, but will lift car and realign before deciding it's less than 10/10.
Pictures to follow. Still haven't decided if I will keep the bare look, or have it sprayed. Ideally going for the satin black / plastic look that Porsches have on their OEM lips. - Lip comes predrilled for OEM location screws and additional screw locations to drill into bumper, hardware was included in box. Bunch of screws and 4 OEM 2pc insert clips. I did buy some new screws + washers at Lowes to replace the corner bolts, for additional length. Pre install: - Cleaned lip and applied 3M double sided tape to where lip will contact bumper, maybe 1 cm away from edge so it cannot be seen once installed. - Lifted front end of car. - Used paint cleaner to clean bottom edge of bumper. Install: - Affixed lip loosely with new screws in outer corners. - Pulled away cover of 3M tape, and pushed lip into place. - Drilled (3/32 bit) into predrilled locations and added screws.
