335i "sport suspension" and upgrading rims/tires.... question.
I've searched around but can't seem to find my question, or any definitive answers.
I’m planning on ordering a 335i coupe next week (ED) but I plan on getting a set of 19” hyperblack CSL reps (from Modbargins). I plan on getting the sport package, but do I need to upgrade to the 19” OEM rims/tires, or can I just get the 18” and swap em out for the CSL’s without touching the suspension? I’m kinda new to this whole suspension game, and originally I was planning on KWV2’s with the rims so the car would feel more raw/responsive, but if I don’t have to mess with the suspension I’d like to see how the CSL’s make the car feel first. |

Thanks for the quick answers.
I'm just gonna order the car with OEM 18"'s and probably just get 18" CSL reps anyways, since I don't want to have to get a thinner tire or sacrafice anything else. |

I would recommend getting 19's csls without runflat tires. They will weight less than the oem rims with runflats, and the ride will be even better, the runflats ride fairly stiff.

If you are going to spend the money on aftermarket wheels, I would do the 19s. IMO, the 18s are just not large enough for the E90/E92 and are not worth the upgrade.
As far as suspension, you can stick with the stock sport but if you are considering coils, you can't go wrong with KW V2s or Bilstein PSS9s. I would not be set on coils though, IMO, if you are not going to take advantage of the adjustment, there is no reason to spend the extra on coils when you can get a spring/shock combo. |

+1. Ron convinced me to get 19's and I'm glad he did. They look just right, and the ride is better than the OEM 17" with runflats. You can still feel the road, but it's a bit more cushioned.

As far as suspension goes, I'd probably go with KW V2's because I don't want to skimp on suspension, since I basically want the lowest maintenance parts/vehicle possible. I love the E92, but the ride is too soft and vauge.... doesn't feel sporty at all, which is why I'm planning on wheels and if I have to coilovers. |

Besides.. every 2-3 years rims on cars go up an couple of inches, seems like when the new 3's come around they'll be rolling on 20's stock. |
