idrive problems got worse - HELP

Ok so I will try and keep this as clear as possible.

Bought 2005 e90 with CCC idrive. I was told there was a fault with the screen. THEY LIED

Initially the display showed up but the icon in center (the one which looks like the control knob with bmw logo in it) is not visable and just a black box appears where it should. The 4 icons that surround it were visable and could be selected.

Initially it worked but very slow. E.g. to select radio/entertainment (bottom icon of the menu) and then move to Aux would take around 2 minutes.

The display does not have any writing in the boxes where it should. All text is missing and just the empty boxes are shown.

Since this the radio would cut in and out when driving. Unplugging the MULF unit in the back has kept the radio working but I loose TV, Bluetooth, CD changer and Front CD options.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I should also add that I went to a garage and he told me his computer wasn't up to date enough to do anything to it and I would have to come back. Seems odd as the car is 2005

You have three options:

1. Replace the MULF, as the early ones are problematic
2. Fix your CCC -> similar reason to point 1 above
3. Throw them all away and put in a CIC
