The historical society did notice that the one accent color matches my 2001 Acura CL-Type S's Sundance Gold, which was intentional though and let it slide.
I'm not sure on the colors, maybe it was six. He knows. The plans for his house were based on a Sears "kit home" when you could buy a house from Sears, around the turn of the century. He has one of the original catalogues. The floorplan really isn't "modern" at all. He stuck pretty much to how houses were laid out "then".

That's a beautiful home. I grew up in an old colonial. Lathe, knob and tube wiring. He totally re-did that house while I was growing up. He always wanted a Victorian but wanted it to be maintenance-free, efficient, etc. He really did it right. Poured basement walls, 2x6 exterior framing, trough drains in each garage stall so all the muck in the winter would flow under the car, stairs from the garage to the basement with an oversized man door to get stuff in and out more easily.

Anyways... sorry to hijack.

Also, are those canned lights underneath the soffits? I don't see any exterior lights at the front door or garage area? Mind sharing some interior shots? sorry for all the questions. Just moved into my house a year ago with never ending house projects lol

I like to clarify its stucco panels not stucco/stucco
yes its very unusual for stucco in Midwest due to weather.
I grew up in Mediterranean like house I personally don't like siding/

yes under soffits there are canned lights if you look closer there are camera cables on most corners.
lighting are not done there will be two lights by entry on each side.
I will upload some pictures when I get chance.

I like neutral colors (i.e. white, silver, beige). They hide dirt the best

I would paint the main stucco with off white unless you want the super modern look. Then paint the trims light grey, do a black gutter and finish the entry door glossy white. House looks great!

Well, I'm no help. I noticed my fascia boards were showing some serious wear/tear. Snapped a pick of the current color, went to HD, and came home with a gallon of "Dry Brown" and economy-sized container of wood filler. Got the gara-zeebo done, and all the light hangers off the front and that painted.

Why do roofs got to be so damn abrasive???? One little mistake trying to stand up after hanging over the edge to get the peaks, and I've got a strawberry that hurts like a mo-fo

Are there any paint experts here or architects who could possibly help me with this. We are going for modern look possibly white.
I will update picture later when I get home.
should probably mention there will be balcony on the front possibly dark railing

PM me if you’d like and I’l fire you my email. Can you send me any architectural details (floor plans and elevations preferably)?

I own a custom window and door business and supply specifically to the luxury home market. If I Can see some details i might be able to help.

Nice! Used to have peach trees in a house I grew up in. Mom used to make peach ice cream with the fruit, so good!

it's like $12 at Home Depot. it's fertilizer which won't burn your lawn no matter how much you throw down. 1 bag covers 2,500 sq ft of lawn
