Transcooler setup
Includes everything you need to install. B&M Trucool core (big guy), 165* thermostat, an lines/fittings, stock trans lines adapters. Keeps my trans nice and cool, even at the track. Hovers around 145-155, even during stop and go traffic. Very efficient setup. $485 picked up, $500 shipped. Will also do a group buy if there's enough interest.

Just checked logs, transmission temp doesn't go past 160. This might be a dumb question, but will these temps raise after stage 2 turbos and more aggressive tune? I read a bunch of stories about 6AT not being able to hold more than 450 torque, will keeping the temps down give any leeway on this?

Yes this is much better than stock. And unless you already have a aftermarket cooler, stock auto heat exchangers use the coolant to cool, and coolant temps are between 180-200ish, ao thats wjere the trans temps will be.
Its proven that a cool/happy trans last longer. Heat is a killer. People are squeezing 600ish torque out of their autos and holding. Also overall health has a toll on that factor too. I dd and race my car, my temps are nice and cool, even stop and go traffic. On the factory swtup, temps would be right with coolant, 185-200ish. After this kit, a nice and cool 155-165 |
