SOFTEN_ENTERTAINMENT_PDC or other solution
So I’ve delayed my speaker upgrade by quite a bit and I’m getting ready to get it all put in there. PDC is something I want to keep as I find it useful, but after the HIFI recode (from base/stereo) the sound is down significantly (as many others have experienced).
It’s still audible, but I would still like to avoid using a amp channel for the rears. I intend to active drive the tweeters/4”mid/underseats all separately and then use the remaining 2ch (from my JL Vx800/8i) to drive a 10” JL (with a armrest back/skibag port meshgrill to allow passthrough). Anycase, so I had stumbled upon some threads mentioning a SOFTEN_ENTERTAINMENT_PDC option that could be enabled which lowers the music volune while the PDC is active. Is this a navigation or iDrive only option as I cant seem to find it in my 2URAD. Or did anyone actually figure out what wurt values to adjust to raise or lower the volume of the PDC after coding to HIFI. There were claims made, but no proof of concept. For the record I tried to change PDC values to Stereo to see if that somehow would do it — it didnt. Other workarounds also welcome. |
