Overheating DCT, no clutch slip, misfires , MHD.

Hey guys.

My car is a regular at the track for happy laps and roll racing events and will usually handle 90 min sessions straight or with one 5 min pit stop without so much as breaking a sweat however at my last outing after two pulls through 2nd 3rd and 4th i had misfires, very unusual but not unexpected as i had planned a full refresh of plugs coils ect with my new turbos which are weeks away. I cleared the misfires and tried a few more pulls and she still wasnt happy the car then through a warning in i drive about transmission temp. I pitted the car and let it sit, cycled down from MHD E50 to MHD e25 and still got misfires and overheating issues, so left the event and drove home.

Things to note. I couldnt feel any clutch slip nor have i ever experienced clutch slip in my dct.
My foot well was extremely hot, not the trans tunnel, this is a RHD car.
Is it possible the extreme heat in the footwell or turbo area could have radiated to the trans and set off overheating msgs?
Only ever had an overheating error once in normal sedate driving few weeks prior, not in traffic, not riding clutch.
My dct was serviced fully 6 months ago
We are talking about lots of heat in footwell after only a few mins, usually the car will go 90 mins straight without this sort of heat.

Any other theorys about what could be going on here ?

As it stands ive got a full ignition refresh ordered and lots of new gear coming, but no ideas on the trans issues.

Cheers
