INPA K+DCAN cable for 2009 E90?

I sure need a cable to diagnose my 2009 335d and I am not finding any cables that are compatible with 2009 cars. I purchased a cable off amazon but it would not connect to the car and then later I read that it only works with 2007 and older E90 cars. My car is having some issues and I sure need to find a cable that will work. It would be nice if one of the Amazon cables would work so I can get it shipped overnight. Any help with this would be great.

BTW, this is the cable I had purchased which does not connect to my car. Any chance I can modify it to work with my car or is that just wishful thinking? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Thanks
Mike

Any K + D can cable should work .
The canned software that comes with the cheaper cables is often
out of date and uses old programs like Progman and SSS.
Also it may not have diesel files.

You can download more recent software from the Bimmergeeks
site and some of the links here.
Its better to to get the Bimmergeeks cable because its known to
be faster and more stable.

45 bucks is not that much and you can get support from them you
may have to pay for the support but it's uptodate and expert help.

I would talk to them about the diesel thing .

Thanks a lot for the info and links. The cable I have does not have the switch so how would it be both a K + D can cable? It seems the switch is to change from one variant to the other correct? If I could get this cable working that I have on hand I would so pleased.

I have been messing around trying to get this K+Dcan cable to work with INPA and it seems to be doing more than before but it is still not working. Here are some screen shots of what I am getting. I did check other modulus and got similar messages that Control unit not found.

I like the Bimmergeeks cable and it's worth it vs the headache, imho. But if you have that particular cable already, this might be something for you to read:

That said, if you have a 2009, not sure why it wouldn't work unless it's just a straight up crappy cable. Make sure you have the latest DATEN too.

I am only able to go into Functional jobs as the list on the left all give an error message. I did get this list of fault codes so clearly this car is plagued with issues. Time to start figuring out what each of these codes means.
