What kind of dyno was it? This seems really, really off for being FBO and having a turbo upgrade. I mean compared to others results, you're not even close. Was it a Mustang dyno? A quick google search shows other people with similar setups making closer to 500+ WHP.

MHD e30 someone on the forum said they dynoed 380whp/500wtrq with FBO, of course that's RWD though. Also, you can't compare dyno's from over 5 years ago, the jb4 firmware from back then is no where near what it is today. Ex: Timing changes, map changes/updates, ISO software, (map 7 used to target 16psi and currently targets 18psi). I remember when people where doing 340whp FBO on e50 mix's, and look where we are today

those 500whp graphs you see uses meth injection or high level of ethanol. On pump gas only, 340-350whp on an xdrive car sounds about right.

Oh gotcha, while I have you here what do I need to safely run an E30-E40 map on my N55? I just went MHD Stage 2+ last night with my catless DP install, car feels great. I don't have $3k to drop on a new turbo, so I'm considering what else I can do to eek some power out. I ran the E30 map for about 2 days with great results, my timing corrections were perfect and I had an amazing idle and power delivery. But I heard it was bad to do this on a stock fuel system so I went back to 93 octane. Now I'm confused if I just need the Flex Fuel Kit or the Stage 2 LPFP or both or neither?

You don't need anything to run the e30 map, it's not bad for the car whoever is telling you that is giving misleading information. N54/N55 have people that are running e85 for nearly 80k+ miles.

I misspoke originally I run 93 oct will that increase the power by that much with those mods ?

Here are Cory's numbers. This is PS2 FBO with methanol and ethanol. Run file 6 was 26 psi, 5 was 23 psi, 4 was 21 psi.

These numbers don't look right. What fuel were you using? How much psi? The torque curve looks off for x drive

You should be pushing at least 400 whp and 480 with e85 and meth

I was only putting down about 390whp on my non xdrive with 92 octane on the PS2. 340AWHP is low but I think 400AWHP is generous for 93 octane.

I think it really depends on the dyno. That's why i asked if he got a baseline. From what i have seen, should expect about +80-100AWHP if you go from stock to PS2 on pump gas only with a proper tune.

A lot of vendors only show glory run dynos with meth and ethanol but that's understandable as they need the numbers to get people to buy stuff.

This is my baseline. I wanted to see how twisted tuning would improve as we fine tune the car but I haven't had the time to finish it. Once finished tuning, 400 awhp is possible on pump gas. We were shooting for 500 awhp since my neighborhood gas station has 110oct race fuel available. I don't want to deal with meth or ethanol.

Just to be clear, it was on a dynojet on 93oct from the pump, no meth, no ethanol.

There is no attachment if you intended to include one. I don't think the stock fuel system would support boost past about 21 psi or so even on a non-oxygenated fuel. Most people need that much or more boost to see 500whp or at least awhp.

is this 110 leaded fuel?

I was referring to my post on page 1. When I was talking with Justin from twisted, he was saying it should be sufficient with my current mods. If I get a kit from speedtech, then I will be looking at upgrading. I have a Fuel-It LPFP so its not entirely stock.

I’ll see when I fuel up. I always found it odd they carried it.

I agree. I like to use my trap speed at the strip to indicate the vehicles performance. On the stock turbo with methanol and race fuel I would trap 112mph. With the PS2 on pump gas alone I also trapped 112mph.

Sorry, what i mean by baseline is whp when car is completely stock. If you are using OTS maps, you wouldn't get the most out of the PS2 as boost is tappered off at high RPMs. With a custom curve, Boost can be held until redline. That is where you will see gains above the stock turbo. I can't wait to see your dyno results after Justin is done with your tune. My bet is you will get around 370-380 AWHP.

To put this into perspective, Macan Turbos are putting down around 340 WHP.

Do it brother! we need more E series cars with stage 3 turbos!

yep. that's the benefit of going to a bigger turbo. Same power but lower octane requirement. I am hoping to save up enough funds to go speedtech stage 3 next year.
