XHP flash with JB4 on (whoops)
Hey guys,
Yesterday I went and did a MHD BEF on my car and updated my stage 3 XHP transmission tune to the recent version. Like an idiot I did the backend flash first and it worked great, and I then put the JB4 on Map 2 after. Without thinking I went and updated the transmission tune to the latest firmware, and I left the jb4 on Map 2 while it was flashing. The xhp update worked flawlessly too without problems, and when I turned the car on the car went from being on Map 2 before the xhp flash to being on Map 0. I've since turned it back to Map 2 and driven it for about 40 miles and everything seems fine, but wanted to know if I could've possibly screwed something up with leaving the car on Map 2

So the JB4 saved my butt. Thank you for clarifying

Must be something in the newer firmware.
The older versions do not do this. I ran into this when I tried applying my xhp flash after forgetting to switch to map 0 first. The initial backup failed. |

I figured it couldn't be that bad if xhp allowed me to flash in the first place. I figured if the jb4 was stealing the signal from the obd2 it wouldn't have let me update the trans flash

Hey OP I'm looking to run JB4 w/ MHD BEF along with xHP. Are you having any issues running all 3 together? Or what are the benefits of having all 3?

No detriment running all 3. There's a lot to be said about each one. I started with the jb4 cause I liked the map switching and the gauge hijacking personally. That was fun, then I added the xhp tune and it honestly was the best modification for the car yet. It's something you feel every time you drive. I just recently added the MHD backend flash to kind of tie up some loose ends and to make the car run a bit smoother. MHD can monitor many more parameters and adjust more tables so even the throttle response is different now
