This may be a dumb question but I can't find the answer anywhere. I just came from the N54 world which of course uses vacuum canisters etc for wastegate control. How does this different from the pneumatic/vacuum wastegate N55, or does it? I haven't seen a canister on the N55, and the N54 doesn't have control issues that some have with the PWG N55, so something has to be different. Anyone know? Thanks.

IIRC only the 2012-2013 F30 N55 cars have the PWG. I'm pretty sure all 2011 N55 E90s came with an EWG stock. Not 100% sure if the 2012-2013 E92 and 1 series came with an EWG though.

Nah all the 2011+ E-series cars had the PWG. EWG started in 7/13 as a 2014.

I stand corrected. I was thinking of how they upgraded/redesigned the god awful rattle can one that was in the N54 cars and for some reason assumed it was the EWG that they went to.
