BMW Performance Power Kit Tuning Options

Hey guys, I bought a 2007 335i this May, and the past owner installed a "Performance Power Kit" tune done at the BMW dealership. I have the certificate from the install, and the sticker in the engine bay that urges you to replace spark plugs every 45,000 miles due to the PPK.

I am wondering if this changes anything (I.E. would I have to remove the PPK, or would it mess up anything when I go to tune the car) if I would eventually like to tune the car with either a JB4 or MHD.

Any background knowledge on the PPK would be very much appreciated

I have the same on my 335i and have no issues with running a tune. I hope they did the full "performance power kit" on your as well. Do you have the big relay block (Tyco) in front of the power steering reservoir? If so then you don't only have the tune but the upgraded cooling package as well.

You can run the jb4 just fine. And MHD would just overwrite your tune with whatever you flash so you’re good on that front as well

Okay, I will plan on sticking to just a tune, and not flash over the PPK.

I just looked under the hood today, and I believe I see what you're talking about, I will try and attach some images...

Nope not it. The relay for the larger fan in the Performance Power kit will be mounted to the powers steering mount. with a large fuse mounted on the passenger side over the headlight.

BMW Performance Tune is expensive for what you get. So, many more options for a fraction of the cost
