Turbo upgrade from stock that's slightly better than stock?
Ok guys so I have a few questions:
1. I get 30FF codes and it pissed me off, it limits the vehicle. I'll be adjusting my actuator arm to see if that helps but inevitably down the road I know I'll have to get new turbos. When you upgrade, either to a single or new twin set up - can 30FF still happen or does the tuning just get rid of it? 2. I don't hate the performance of the 335i - I don't consider my car super fast but it's fun. I like how they made the twin turbo v6 "simulate" a V8. If I was to upgrade my turbos I'd be looking for something that my car can EASILY handle and would just give me like 400-450whp safely and reliably. I don't want the car to have an insane powerband or some kind of uncontrollable traction. I want it to be close to stock just slightly more powerful .. what would be the best set up for this? I did some research and I feel like maybe a twin turbo set up would be best? Just with a better waste-gate design? That's really it. |

Boost leak check time! Also check vac lines, boost solenoids, etc.
If it's turbo time shoot me an email and I'll be happy to help you choose something, but off the top of my head Stage 1's are perfect for what you're looking for. Little more efficient, move a little more air, on ethanol blends they make some great power with no additional fueling -simple/proven upgrade. Chris |
