Any N52 Oil Starvation Reports?

With the exception of hassmaschine's track build, I haven't seen anything related to Accusump installs and oil pan baffles on the N52. Just concerned about my weekend track car with r-comps on banked tracks like Auto Club Speedway, Fontana. Two friends blew engines, one was a Toyota, the other a WRX.

Unless it’s different from what I had in my 3.0si, I never experienced oil starvation in the 5 years I tracked my Z4, of which the last 2 that were on R-comps. I really think the N52 is one of the most reliable motors you could hit the track with.

Just following up on this. I see VAC Motorsports has a baffle set for the n54 oil pan. Does anyone know if that would work on the n52 pan? I also can’t find any baffles marketed for the N52.

I checked and the part numbers for the pans are different but I can’t tell if the pans are shaped differently they look the same overall shape on real oem.

Looks like they use the same gasket

There are no baffles in the stock N52 oil pan that I remember seeing. The oil pick up is almost at the bottom of the pan.

Yeah I know, was hoping to find some aftermarket baffles for the N52. I don’t have an oil pan leak now but if I ever did I would throw some baffles into the pan during the repair... because why not lol

I was only able to find some aftermarket baffles for the N54. Apparently the aftermarket doesn’t believe anyone drives N52’s hard enough to cause oil starvation? Seems like if anything the lighter N52 would generate more cornering g forces and need the baffles more than a heavier car with the same suspension.

This is the VAC baffles installed in a N54 oil pan:

This is the sales link on their website which doesn’t show the N52 being compatible:

That'd be my build that has the oil pan baffle and Accusump.

Did you use custom baffles or were you able to find something already made?

VAC baffled modified to fit and held in with welded in clips since pan is steel. Picture in the Headers and Mounts thread.
