How do you create a Playlist on the USB stick?

Sorry for the noob question, but I don't have my car yet and I wanted to know how to create a playlist on the USB stick.

Do you simply drag and drop the files/directories on the USB drive or there is a software that one can use?

thanks

Just title a folder and drag and drop all of the music in it.

The proper way is to create an .M3U file. This can be done using most MP3 software. Media Monkey (www.mediamonkey.com) is free and will do it. You can also create a subdirectory of songs and the radio will play them in order. Technically, it is not a play list but it works just as well.

OK so iDrive will read the M3U file as a playlist file?

Yes, playlists (.m3u files) are listed just like a song is listed. Select it (as I do with my I-Drive) and all the songs play. I do this so I can dump 100s of songs on a USB drive but still be able to segregate them into categories (playlists). Let me know how it works out!

Oh yeah, I find it works better to put the playlists in the root directory even if you have subdirectories by group (artist).
