What are most 335 sedans coming in terms of tires?

Well, only a select few E9x owners have taken delivery of cars with the Michelins, and this has only been in the past few months. So not a lot is known about the michelin vs the bridgestones - however, the PS2 not runflat is a far better tire than the RE050 non runflat. All else being equal, this should carry over to the Runflat version.

Though I don't recall their names, there are two people on this board with experience with this tire:

- One guy has them only on the rears and he said they stick FAR better than the Bridgestones they replaced.

- Another has two E9x in his immediate family and comment on the Michelins being far less jittery and much quieter.

I just ordered a set of these for my 07 335, still waiting till the weather warms up to UHP summer tire temps.

I guess I was one of the lucky ones...

I'm not really familiar with the run-flat vs. non run-flat comparisons. All I can say is that the car rides pretty smooth, much smoother than my old E46 sedan.

Thanks for the response.

I guess I was NOT one of the lucky ones, haha! This is my first experience with run flats and I know nothing about them to begin with. I'll keep owners posted with my own personal views of the Bridgestones after I log some miles - if Michelin owners like yourself do the same!

I took delivery of my car late yesterday afternoon and once the initial shock(!) passed I collected myself and was able to listen to (and process) some of the orientation stuff that my guy presented! Needless to say, the smile STILL has not left my face! Anyway, I had a 120 mile drive back home (Scottsdale to Tucson) once I left the dealership. I was only a couple hours removed from having been able to drive home with the top down because it was hot hot hot (relative to most areas in the country), but as I drove off the lot the air turned crisp with the setting of the sun. Still an unbelievable drive!

The drive home from work was the greatest driving experience of my life - 80 degrees, sunny and absolutely gorgeous! My last three cars have been two BMWs (330ci, both) and a Lexus (IS350) and this is by far the nicest ride I've ever owned. Hooray for BMW E9x!!!!!!

Tomorrow, sofaonasock?!? How are those butterflies?!?

Thank you for your compliments, Jerry. I have really enjoyed driving with the top down (the weather in Tucson has been near perfect), but I am definitely NOT going to brag about the rear seat room and cargo space, haha! I'm a single guy who doesn't do much grocery shopping, so it works for me; not very practical for most people, though! But hey - whatever suits a person, right?!?

Anyone else out there still waiting for their cars?

If not, then it appears that this thread has reached its conclusion. Thanks to everyone who followed along, and best wishes on your new, wonderful BMWs!!!

I'll be spending most of my time on this board in the General and Detailing forums. Have fun!
