Torque with Peter Wherrett was very good. It was on ABC in the 70s (even pre-dated Top Gear). It's a long time ago, but I recall him bagging cars mercilessly for poor handling (that seemed to be his thing). I think Mitsubishi even said "you do better" after he trashed the Sigma in a review ... he did, and they actually put the car he re-worked into production. Sadly, all people seem to know about him now is that he is a cross dresser.

It wouldn't matter if he had discovered the cure for cancer. He puts on a frock at home and he is worthless. It is a sad, shallow, tabloid world.
