DMTL 2A12, 2A13, 2A18 Help!
Hello everyone. I have been looking around for the best way to rid the car of the above codes. A few forums have mentioned the wiring harness being damaged and a few others me tion that the pump needs to be replaced. Since the placement of this pump varies, I wonder if the wiring can be faulty/damaged on the 328i cars since they have the pump relocated to the rear passenger side.
Hoping for a quick fix but will order a pump if needed. Codes pulled are the following.. 2A12,2,DMTL solenoid valve, activation 2A13,2,DMTL leak diagnosis pump, activation 2A18,4,DMTL, heater: activation Considering the codes are for the pump heater and pump activation/functioning. I would assume its a wiring issue.. all help is welcome Car is a 2009 bmw 328xi |

I had similar codes on my E93 335. I replaced the pump and that got rid of my DTML codes. Just did this two weeks ago. Got my OEM pump from FCP Euro (Bosch) Mine was located driver side rear under the fenderwell. It was a pretty easy DIY. Lots of youtube vid's should take about an hour or two to fix. 8mm and 10mm I believe like total of 8 or 9 small bolts.
