dawn/zaino on keyed car ok?
I got keyed a week or so ago on my hood, and dont have immediate plans to spend a few hundred fixing the scratch. I was also just about to start the whole dawn/zaino process, and was wondering if it'd do any harm to the scratch or anything?
Also, I've read most of the posts about fixing keyed scratches, but most seem to advise getting a full repair or doing a full repair yourself. Is there any kind of stop gap measure, like applying touchup paint without the buffing and sanding? The scratch I'd say is about.. medium? Not that deep, not that shallow. Thanks in advance |

Nah, you can Zaino over the scratch and it won't have a detrimental effect on it. Although, if it's key scratch, and you can feel the scratch with your fingernail, it probably won't conceal it anyway.
If you don't want to spend money for a full fix, just get some touchup paint, and Zaino over it. If it didn't cut into the primer, you should be able to hide it pretty well. |
