How much did YOU pay for Coilover Install?
Hey All,
Recently purchased coilovers my shop quoted me $1k to install the coilovers and rear brake pads and rotors... Is this NORMAL? I found someone that 'SAID' they'd do it for $500 but that friend of a friends friends fathers mechanic ended up just holding my car for a week after scheduled install date without even touching it. ![]() Pretty sure this is a relatively easy 5-7 hour job? Can anyone recommend a decent shop in North NJ?? ![]() |

I called another place today and they quoted me $880 and said it was an 8 hour job. I was able to use this info to call BS and get them down to $600 for the coils and rear brakes. Prob not as cheap as AUTOcouture but it'll be done tomorrow and beats the hell out of $1k!!! Thanks Guys! |

Dude I would call top gear or I think mnj look in vendor classifieds at who Is responsive and been around here if they were trying to rip you then be careful you don't get hit with 50 more things also make sure you have adjustable end links. Unless your kit comes with provision for that also if place is doing alignment that big plus

Depends if they’re aligning and corner balancing. For tristate I’d expect suspension install to run for 300, alignment 100, corner another 150. Rear brakes, maybe 120.

I paid $460 plus alignment for a cupkit install at my indy. Wasn't happy with the springs and swapped them out myself when I had more time. Not a difficult job.
