WHICH MAGNAFLOW FOR 328i?

Whats the best magnaflow exhaust should I get for my 328i? Im not really looking for performance gains as much as a nice sound. I was thinking about doing a muffler delete, but there is too much drone that comes with a muffler delete so I'm thinking about going with a magna flow universal muffler and there are a lot of options and not sure which one fits the best. Opinions?

The magnaflow universal mufflers are all the same, the xl mufflers are quieter than the universal ones, words from magnaflow customer service. Just get the universal one with the diameter you want, no drone with mine.

Magnaflow 12158 muffler, Magnaflow 10758 y-pipe, my recommendation, you'll be better off with a 2ndary cat delete as well. A good muffler shop should probably give you a labor quote with welding pipes for like $160. Expect more for 2ndary cat delete but try to haggle them to include it in the deal. Keep your 2ndary cat cans when it comes to smog just for visual purposes. You don't need them to pass smog, I passed last year without them.

*Nevermind you don't need 2ndary cats, you're in Florida.

it says he used this and the pricing i looked up to do it depending on where you get it done

Secondary cat delete ($70)
12" bottle resonator ($40 or just take it out completely)
Spintech Super Pro Street Muffler (part # 6441) ($90)
Exhaust tips ($50)

so around $250 give or take! Ima going with muffler delete for now !

Would it make a difference with or without the resonator?

Yes keep resonator. Always keep stock resonator IMO. It’s tuned to eliminate noises you don’t want and is not restrictive. You only gain rasp/rattle sounds eliminating it, which are not good sounds.
