Exclamation Headlight Condensation

Hi everyone, I've looked at previous posts but there must be an easier fix out there than taking the whole front bumper off or placing the headlight in an oven lol.

My drivers side headlight has filled with condensation due to a recent jet wash. This has happened before and it took out my orange indicator bulb, but this time my low beam HID bulb has gone out. Side lights and high beam still work fine. And the only message on iDrive is that the bulb has stopped working.

What are the easy fixes to firstly remove the condensation and secondly where should I seal to make sure this doesn't happen next time I wash the car?

Any answers are appreciated.

Swap bulbs first to make sure the ballast is good and throw some of the silicon packs inside temporary. Your best option is to remove the bumper and pull the headlight to fully inspect it and find out where the condensation is coming from

If you have adaptive headlights you need to dry that housing out ASAP. If you don’t you’ll be spending a lot of money on replacing corroded headlight modules. Ask me how I know lol

I don't believe my car has adaptive headlights. There's no 'auto' option on the headlights switch and it has a manual dial. But - the headlights do raise up and down when the car turns on. What do you think, should I be worried?

You're likely going to have water spots inside after it dries out

Looks like halogen headlights, can see the low beam reflector bowl. shouldn't be issue with modules, since there aren't any. Maybe a burnt out bulb and waterspots on the inside of the lens.

Update: Received new HID bulbs today - and it works! There’s a lot less condensation inside the headlight now, only around the indicator side.

I’ve heard people have used silicon gel packs. Any recommendations as to where I should place the gel packs?
