What to do?

I found a couple of chips on my car today. I have attached some pics but not sure how well they will turn out. What product should I try? I am not even sure if anything will work. Anyone ever use one of those touch up paint pens? Any advice would be great!

Ya, going to have to go with some paint for that. Go to BMW and buy some, then do a search to find out how to correct it. There are some pretty good write-ups on touch up painting!

Im sorry buddy and no problem at all. The only good thing is that from the pic's it seems as if it is not down to the metal. That means you have a good chance of a strong bond with you apply paint.

However, eventually I'll bite the bullet and go for it, but I'll buy some smaller brushes first. The brush that comes with the kit is way too big (IMHO).

Yes, paint stores have brushes that work a lot better. Just search "touch up paint" and some people have some great DYI's with the steps from start to finish, and the products you will need.

A little off the subject but, how often do you guys wax your cars? I usually apply a spray wax after most washes. Well, at least every couple of weeks. Is that too much? I feel like I need to do something. I also use a QD.

I usually wax every 3-4 washes. I use a QD every time I wash. I clay before all waxing.

You wax by hand every 3-4 washes? What QD are you using? I probably wash my car 1-2 times a week during the summer and once every week or so in the winter. Should I apply a QD or spray wax after every wash? I am about to order a bunch of things so I want to get that list just right!! Thanks guys!!

I wash my car usually 2x's a week. I use a Foam gun(Best purchase yet) and I use a leaf blower to dry my car. With this combo I always use a QD as the final process each wash.

As for the rock chips, I would get some touch up paint from BMW, use a toothpick to fill the chips. I would take several days to do this, one coat at a time and build the blob of touch up paint up. Then I would order some langka from autogeek.net. This will remove/level the blob. You can always wet sand then polish, but you could do more damage than good.

I got mine from Autogeek.net. I've been using Meguiar's Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner as my soap ( I can get this at walmart) and it works great. I also recommend a good sheepskin wash mit.
