Convert from adaptive headlights to non-adaptive HID?

My son has a 2008 BMW 328i with adaptive HID lights. They are "fogged up" (cloudy lens) and one of them is broken - adaptive part (forgot what's it called, it is located bottom of the headlight and it's corrosive).

I'd like to replace both headlights with new and cheap headlights, maybe from Spyder (or from eBay). I'd like to keep HID but I don't want the adaptive stuff (that moves from left to right and from right to left).

I understand that I will need to get them re-code, from adaptive to non-adaptive.

Will that work? and any recommendations for me?

Thanks -cjr

you'll need to change wiring between headlights and frm module to do such downgrade
and you'll need to keep up-down adjustment because it is used adjust level depending on car load and you have this system also

Your best bet is to buy the depo p90s from fishcake123 on eBay and have the adaptive feature coded out from someone on here. I believe fishcake sells a model of p90 that is plug and play for cars with factory HIDs so no adapters needed but obviously you'll need to have the feature and the bulb checks coded out if you don't want dash errors.
