Haven't seen the sequel yet, but Benicio del Toro was just brilliant in Sicario imo. I think the first time I saw del Toro was in The Usual Suspects (which remains high in my top 10 list) and he was brilliant in that as well. If you don't remember him in Suspects, that probably proves the quality of his acting. He played 'Fenster'.
