question about squeaking..

from about 0 miles an hour until 20 mph, i hear a squeaking noise from my right rear wheel. i have no idea what it is, when i took it to the dealer to show one of the techies, you know obviously it didnt make the sound so they couldnt diagnose it. After 20 mph the sound goes away but till then, when im rolling in a parking lot it is very annoyin, can anoyne provide feedback. Thanx

Try a search using "brake squeak"

Its a very disappointing result with numerous threads on this issue. I have a recurring problem and have been told it is a software issue that BMW is working on. Issue is said to be brakes not releasing from a stop, thats what I was told.

I have called BMW and received very unsatisfactory answers to date though the dealership, to its credit, has been good so far.
