Another Sapphire Black looking for long lasting wet look
I have a Sapphire Black 335 that is missing that "wet glossy look". I typically wash my car every 2-3 weeks with Meguiars Gold Class car wash. I have only hand waxed the car twice with the Meguiars cleaner wax over a 12 month period. The car is always inside the garage at home and at work, so there is no contamination and very minimal swirl marks on the paint. After I wash with Meguiars Gold Class car wash and apply the Meguiars cleaner wax, the paint surface is butter smooth. I was thinking about purchasing the Meguiars #7 Show Car Glaze, but after reading this comment by FMINUS "#7 is nice for a super wet look, but it will last ONE day if you are lucky", I wasn't too sure about it. BTW, this is where those comments came from http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=113697.
I guess the other popular alternative would be the Klasse SG and top it off with some kind of carnuba wax, or should I try the Meg #7? I want something that will hopefully last 6 months, or close to it. BTW, I am not a Meguiars addict. I just happen to use them since they were OTC and have good results. Thanks in advance ![]()

Here's an article on Megs #7: http://autopia.org/forum/detailing-a...-phillips.html
If you want to stay with wax and not sealant, you might be able to find some Megs #16. It's discontinued, but is known to have excellent gloss and durability. I could swear I saw it in a for sale thread here on e90post very recently. ![]()

i think you should give nxt 2.0 a try. it really looks great on my saphire black. Also buy megs Ultimate quick detailer to use between (i use it as im drying the car) to help the durability and the look of the wax.
Your other option of course is zaino. I have a bottle of Z-AIO and Z-2 pro and from what i have been told this combo looks amazing on black. (havent gotten a chance to try it yet but it was highly recommended by a pro i know) |

Thanks for the link. Honestly, I don't care whether it's a wax or sealant. My paint is in excellent condition, but I don't get that wet glossy look after washing and applying the cleaner wax. I do want to protect the paint, but at the same time, add the wet look to it also.

My neighbor is a detail freak. One of is cars is a black lexus. He used Wolfgang polish enhancer then sealant over it and the thing looks awesome. I just ordered a big box of their stuff to use on my space grey. Some people don't like the look of sealant though.

The Wolfgang products are quite good. On top of the sealant you may want to think about putting a wax on it for looks for at least a little bit. The Wolfgang products looked great on my own Space Gray, so I'm sure you'll be happy with the results.

For an easy "wet look". An excellent OTC is Eagle1 SPRAY nanowax.
Extremely easy to apply within minutes, and leaves a nice glossy wet shine after application. |

if you guys want your car to look like the light is dripping off, try Pinnacle Souveran Paste wax. it will only last 1-2 weeks, but it has the best "Wet look" from any wax i have used. also give Chemical Guy's 5050 wax a try. i use it on most of my details.
