Kia and Hyundai vehicle fires

This is reminiscent of the BMW vehicle fires making the news a year or so ago. Modern cars have similar electronic and fuel systems and are becoming more complex, and the pace of innovation can be mind blowing, makes you wonder if safety is becoming less of a priority.

Meanwhile BMW engineers are like "see, see car fires are perfectly normal".

I would consider safety being a priority but most certainly not top priority. I imagine in the corporate mindset it follows something to the effect of:

1. Revenue
2. Marketing
3. Avoiding lawsuits
4. Safety

Right? Fires occur naturally all the time. Now if the car suddenly turned into a sea horse without warning, we would have something to worry about!

Reminds me of the Canyonero from The Simpsons; "Unexplained fires are a matter for the courts"

Wait a minute, let me get this straight.
BMW's are catching on fire and Kia's and Hyundai are not.
Then Kia and Hyundai hire some BMW employee's and now their catching on fire and BMW are not. Interesting.
